This is a great iPod for working out and swimming. Small yet with enough memory for both audiobooks and music

For the amount of money paid for these things, I should be able to listen the radio regardless of what headphones I’m wearing. I’m one of those people who cannot keep earbuds in her ears. So, I have to use regular headphones. Consequently, I cannot listen to the radio. I have a $60 Walkman MP3 player. I can listen to the radio no matter what headphones I’m wearing. Also, again, for the money, iTunes should automatically keep duplicates entries out of the Library. This is a very substandard product, for the money. I love the shape and size but I need a much higher capacity. I hope future generations will address my concerns.

I owned one of the first iPods released. I wasn’t disappointed then and not now.
Great price, free shipping. Nice.

My 30GB Zune was starting to die and I bought the 16GB 5th generation. Love it so far. The new features introduced in the 5th gen Nanos are: the slightly larger screen, FM radio, video camera and the pedometer.
The FM radio is of good quality. Most stations (especially in big cities) broadcast information (title, artist) regarding the song being played and the Nano can “tag” this information. You can also pause Live Radio for upto 15 minutes if you want to re-listen your favorite song or missed something. I do not use this feature all that much but it’s still cool to have.
The video camera is passable. It’s about the same quality as a low-end cellphone camera. You cannot take pictures! Since it’s just an add-on, you can’t really complain. It does have a tiny microphone to record sounds. It even packs in tiny speakers so you can hear sounds when you play back videos.
You can also sync videos (movies,tv shows etc) just like the 4th generation. I don’t watch a lot of videos, hence the switch to the smaller Nano instead of an iPod Touch/iPhone. For any first time buyers, I would recommend something with a bigger screen if you intend to watch a lot of videos.
The audio quality and interface is standard Apple. Overall, very easy to use. Looks beautiful. I was a little annoyed that I had to unplug my headphones every time I plugged the iPod charger in. Even with the minor complaints, you simply cannot beat the wide range of amazing features Apple has packed into this tiny, sexy product at an affordable price.
