I purchased this item originally because i wanted to have a clip (holster) so that when i used speakerphone i was not holding my phone and i could clip it onto my neckline (mom of 4 lol). I was disgruntled at first… the directions to open the case was INSIDE the case i saw them but could not access them…. after tugging at it awhile i decided to get a flat head screw driver….it opened immediately. i put it on my phone. it is very durable. that is the ONLY thing i liked about it.
here is what i didn’t like:
1. the main button is very hard to push thru the rubber and the hard shell covers 1/4 of it. my finger felt it soon after my initial set up of the iphone.
2. the case covers the outer FRONT side of the iphone and it is raised too much and gets in the way….what i mean by that is my finger constantly hits it and after running my finger over the touch screen awhile my finger again started to feel the effects. (I am not a wimp but my fingers are not used to the constant irritation…i am sure that my fingers would get used to it but there r better cases out there that don’t do this)
3. the DEAL BREAKER was the holster (the only reason why i got it) is not functional. ALL U DO is just put the case into the holster… it does NOT do a good job of holding the case in the holster….it easily and i mean easily comes out…..you just slightly bump into something or bend over and it falls out of the holster! It is only held in by rubber sides. It doesnt even click into place.
I would have kept it for any of my other negatives except #3…if u r getting it for the holster…DO NOT BUY otherwise if you can live with these negatives this might be the case for u.

This is my 3rd… yes THIRD Otterbox case I have purchased. My wife and I both have iPhones and LOVE the Otterbox for its protection due to the rugged design. I am very hard my phones due to my job… and this was the perfect answer to my problems. I too have dropped my iphone in puddles, mud, snow ect… never any damage… even had it fall 10-15 ft off a scissor lift I was in…. no damage,(lucky on how it landed).
The reason we have 3 now… variation! I have a yellow/black… my wife has the white and now this one…. you can swap the rubber housings to intermix colors… pink/white, white/pink, pink/black… ect… We love them!
Also… if you are having issues with your docking… there is a nice dock extender that works with a slight bit of modifying to clear the otterbox opening for the plugin…. just search ‘Dock Extender for iPhone’ and look at the reviews to understand which one fits the best for otterbox!

I love my pink and black otterbox case for my iphone, and I recieved it within 3 days. I purchased the pink one but it was too plain and it was in the original package. Blue Harber Online sent me a used pink and black otterbox, I could tell because it was not in the original package and the case look like it had been pryed open. That is pitiful people pay their money for something new and get something used.

I wanted this cover because I destroyed my other smart phone from dropping it so much. This one has the same black rubbery cover but with a cuter pink hard plastic case. This cover is all inclusive… it has a screen protector, hard plastic case, soft cover and a holster. I’ve dropped it a couple times already and it’s survived!

Anyone who cant open it.. well.. sucks to be them.. (hurt fingers and all…) case protects great. even recommended it to some friends and they love it. easy to open and use… keeps the iphone well protected. love it!
