Part of the fault with this product is my own fault. It SHOULD be clear from the summary that this product will NOT sync either of the devices, it is a charging dock only. If it was just my error in researching it more closely, I wouldn’t ding the star rating, just warn others to be careful; however, I really don’t see the point in this product without the ability to sync. Who really keeps Apple MP3 products around and needs charge them, but not sync them? Also, how much trouble would it have been to add sync capability? I just can’t give a positive rating to a product that should have been so much MORE, especially considering the price.

Well, it does charge. But there is no USB connection. Buyer beware (or at least read the description carefully, unlike me).

Not sure why I didnt investigate more before I purchased this. Griffin is known for top-notch 3rd party Apple peripherals. So I assumed that this great looking dock (and it is a beautiful & solid device) would actually sync my iPhone and iPod. Im extremely disappointed they they didn’t include this capability. It would have been very simple to do for them nd wouldnt have raised the cost of goods all that much, considering the functionality.

Im currently using it on my desk, but I suspect in a few days when the novelty is worn off, the practicallity will kick in and force me to go back to my old USB connection cable so I can sync and charge at the same time.

    Bad call, Griffin.

I’m only posting this (positive) review to make everyone aware to what I wasn’t: this does NOT have any kind of connection to a PC. I blindly assumed that this gadget would let me charge multiple iDevices AND synchronize them with the mac. I was wrong. Stupid tax.

My wife and I both own IPhone 3G’s. Fits perfect with the Seidio Inncocase, no adapter needed.
