Check out the Apple website. They will be offering a free bumper (or other case) soon. Certainly don’t pay this for it!!

Apple will be giving this item away for FREE for any iPhone 4 owner who wants one, until September 30, 2010. See the Apple store for further details. Looks like this offer will become available sometime the week of July 19th. Why pay for a worthless piece of crap, when you can get it for FREE!

First of all, don’t buy this item. It is free from Apple.
Second, Apple was so dumb that they designed the dock connector opening to be too small to fit the dock connector. As delivered, you must slip off the bottom end of the dock connector to charge your iPhone….
HOWEVER, THE BUMPER IS ABLE TO BE MODIFIED! I very carefully enlarged the opening with a round file and small razor knife. Now it works perfectly, so I do not have to remove the bumper. I have Zagg shields front and back, and bumper all around. Fully protected.

$29 bucks for a plastic, barely rubber bumper that fits loosely and absolutely takes away the design of the iPhone 4. Plastic buttons. BTW, you can’t fit the pin adapter in unless you remove the bumper – so no turnkey charging or syncing with the cable. So disappointed.

I like the feel of the bumper but I was disappointed that my non-Apple charger doesn’t fit into the charge slot. My headphones also don’t fit which is frustrating. The slots in the rubber are very narrow and were designed specifically for Apple’s products. I own 3 separate chargers and only 1 works.
