The adapter works well, but it does not fit my needs. I needed a mic to insert between my 1st gen iPod touch and my noise-reducing (non-Apple) ear buds. The setup is working, but the resulting cord tangle is just too long, and the mic needs to be clipped to something near my mouth. Until I find better quality earbuds with built-in mic, I’ll have to settle for the Apple buds that do not stay in my ears.

Wow, was I excited. I have been using this sort of microphones for over a year as they work wonderfully with my iphone. To make it brief, it took twice as much for it to reach me, than for it to break. It really seemed tough but with nothing different than normal use it broke in about a week.

i used for a short time before it stop play one size of earphone.
its a nice product, but watch out, dont use it when phone’s in the pant pocket!!!!

This product does not work as advertised. It does NOT allow the full features of the iPhone because it does not have a volume control. The button intended for use to advance selections does not function consistently. Definitely would not recommend purchasing.Griffin SmartTalk Headphone Adapter with Control and Mic for iPhone 1G
